2023 Fall Impact Report: A Force for Good

As we grapple with a world in chaos, I’ve been reflecting on HRDC’s miraculous work, which gives me great strength. HRDC was founded by my father – Dr. Ashok Banskota – 38 years ago when Nepal’s health care system was primitive. He had a bold vision that he could be a real change-maker and help children who were suffering on the fringes of society. Over the ensuing years we’ve weathered debilitating poverty, a civil war, and many natural disasters. Despite this, we have become a thriving organization that runs the length and breadth of Nepal, helping the most impoverished children with disabilities. Last year we reached 22,000 children and this year we’re on track to treat 27,500!
